Xiangjian (Eugene) Li has been working with CNNIC since 2002. Under his leadership, his team set up the new reasonable procedures and rules for CNNIC IP address confederation. Through this team's hard work, about 160 large ISPs and big companies are experiencing the real convenience of getting IP addresses from CNNIC. Moreover, hundreds of Chinese ISPs are applicable to get their urgent IP address resources more cheaply and easily than ever before. Eugene knows exactly what the CNNIC/APNIC address policies are and why they exist, and is also in a position to get useful feedback from ISPs and end-users nationwide.

Eugene has rich experiences with IP allocation and management, local IP address policy-making, and cooperating with large ISPs as well as small company users. He has attended many Internet meetings such as the Global IPV6 Summit, APNIC meetings, and ICANN meetings, and feels comfortable working for the Internet community.

Eugene's working experiences and good characteristics makes him a good candidate for this NC position. We believe that the AP region will benefit if he is elected.
