16th APNIC Open Policy Meeting
Seoul, Korea, 19-22 August 2003
The 16th APNIC Open Policy Meeting (APNIC 16) was held successfully in Seoul, Korea between Tuesday 19 August and Friday 22 August. The meeting was hosted by the Korea Network Information Center (KRNIC) and attracted 131 attendees.
Call for Proposals to host APNIC 18
APNIC is pleased to call for proposals to host the 18th APNIC Open Policy Meeting. If your organisation is interested in hosting this meeting, please read the Call for Proposals document and lodge your expression of interest as soon as possible.
The deadline for detailed submissions is 1 December 2003.
APNIC 17
APNIC 17 will be held in conjunction with APRICOT 2004 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 23-27 February 2004. The meeting will be hosted by the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (PIKOM).

Venue
The meeting was held at the Lotte Hotel,Jamsil - Seoul. Over-looking the Han River, the Lotte Hotel, Seoul Jamsil provides first-class conference facilities and is next door to Lotte World Adventure, the world's biggest indoor theme park.
KIOW 2003
KRNIC hosted the Korea Internet Operation Workshop (KIOW) 2003 at APNIC 16. KIOW 2003 was held on Tuesday 18 August 2003 in parallel with the APNIC 16 tutorials. KIOW is a forum at which Internet specialists from both within and outside Korea come together to discuss Internet operations, technologies, and policies. KIOW 2003 included sessions on Internet security, wireless Internet operations, IPv6, and DNS operations.
