Reason for nomination
Sanjay was elected President of India's apex body representing Internet Service providers Association of India (ISPAI) in September 2005and later appointed Director and Acting CEO of NIXI. Both are the honorary posts.
Sanjay is the CEO of Specranet - A division of Punj Llyod Ltd, India's 1st ISO9001 & BS7799 Certified Broadband Convergence services provider. A dynamic corporate professional leader, within the challenging sunrise industry of Internet, Data Centers and Digital Content, BPO and ITES.
He is a UK qualified and trained Chartered Certified Accountant and Quality Assurance professional, now also a member of ISACA. He has grown up, trained, worked, qualified, and traveled extensively in the UK, Europe and USA until July 2000. A desire to fulfill a leadership role in realising the dream of transforming India into a "knowledge based" country brought him back home from the UK where his last assignment was a 1.5-year stint with Deloitte & Touche's UK Business Process Outsourcing arm.
His hardworking team have re-engineered Spectranet to transform the business results from a loss making operation to operational profit in less than 15 months; this is most unusual for any Broadband business, anywhere in the world. Spectranet was awarded the ISO 9001-2001 in 2003 and BS7799-2:2002 IN 2005 (the 1st Broadband Convergence Service provider in India and the 4th ISP in Asia to achieve this). Top 25 employer for HR Memberships: LinkedIn network, ISPAI; The British Business Group; ACCA; ISACA, IQA & CRM Foundation.
Skills: 4 languages (English/Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi), Points free Indian, UK and USA Driving licenses, media exposure includes - interviews on BBC TV (comparative cultures), TMG TV (IT and ISP), CNBC TV, NGC, CEO forums.
Sanjay represents one of the major IT and knowledge economy of the Asia Pacific. He heads the three major posts in India, President, ISPAI, Director and Acting CEO, NIXI and CEO, Spectranet - a Broadband company. We are sure he can make a valuable contribution to the APNIC Executive Council.

Reason for nomination
Mr Sanjay Dwivedi has been the CEO of 'Broadband Pioneer' in Inida. Under his guidance and mentoring his team has launched various new initiatives in the field of Broadband. The trust of the telecom industry in Mr Dwivedi is evident from the support that was extended to him when he was elected the ISPAI president (Internet Service Providers association of India).
Under the role of this president & CEO of spectranet he has challenged and amended various practices. Further on, with 15 + years of oversea experience and FCCA (UK) and AIQA (UK) qulaification to his credit, I am confident of him making a valuable contribution as EC.
