    Nominee statement

    I am honored to submit my candidacy for the position of Co-Chair within the Routing Security Special Interest Group. With over a decade of experience in the field of cybersecurity and a track record of active engagement in internet governance initiatives, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of routing security and play a pivotal role in fostering a safer and more secure internet ecosystem.

    My background as a Cyber Security Professional has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and best practices related to securing global internet routing. In my current capacity as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee at Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG), I have been instrumental in facilitating capacity building and knowledge sharing within the Asia Pacific region. This experience has provided me with valuable insights into community engagement, policy advocacy, and the importance of collaborative efforts in shaping a secure internet landscape.

    I have contributed to various internet governance platforms such as ICANN and Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF), where I have gained a deep gratitude for the interconnectedness of internet security and operational stability. My memberships in OIC-CERT, Cyber Security Task Force Pakistan, and other key organizations underscore my dedication to representing the interests of our community.

    My active involvement in workshops, trainings, and consultations with organizations including Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and several departments of the Federal Government in Pakistan demonstrates my commitment to knowledge dissemination and capacity building. Additionally, my participation in Cyber Drills organized by OIC-CERT and APCERT showcases my ability to lead and coordinate efforts in a collaborative environment.

    If elected as Co-Chair, I am committed to furthering the SIG's objectives by promoting information sharing, outreach, and capacity building. I envision fostering a collaborative environment where network operators can exchange insights, best practices, and concerns related to routing security. By leveraging my experience and passion for cybersecurity, I aim to contribute to the SIG's efforts in shaping a safer and more resilient internet for all stakeholders.
