Voting eligibility

Each APNIC Member is entitled to cast one vote during the times noted in the SIG election key dates. Online voting entitlements for Member organizations are only available to those individuals who are:

Corporate Contacts, or
Authorized contacts with voting rights given by the Corporate Contact.

In-person attendees at APNIC conferences are also eligible to vote in SIG elections. A conference attendee must meet the following two criteria to vote:

Registered and attending the current conference in person. The attendee must be checked-in at the registration desk at any time from the start of the conference until 10.00am (conference local time) on the final day of the conference.

Deadline is 10:00 (UTC +9), Thursday, 14 September 2023.
Registered and attended at least one of the past eight APRICOT or APNIC standalone conferences (not including the current conference):
- APNIC 55 with APRICOT 2023 in Manila, Philippines
- APNIC 54 in Singapore
- APNIC 53 Online
- APNIC 52 Online
- APNIC 51 Online
- APNIC 50 Online
- APNIC 49 with APRICOT 2020 in Melbourne, Australia
- APNIC 48 in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Eligible registered attendees can vote online in the SIG elections using their APNIC Login. They are entitled to one vote using the BigPulse voting system. Verification of an individual's entitlement to vote against official records will be used where necessary.

We strongly encourage the individuals who intend to vote in the SIG elections to contact APNIC Helpdesk to check their voting eligibility to ensure they have attended one of the past conferences listed above.

Online voting for APNIC Members and eligible registered conference attendees will open two (2) hours after the start of the APNIC Conference (APNIC 56) on Tuesday, 12 September 2023 at 11:30 (UTC +9) and will close at the end of the lunch break on the last day of the APNIC conference 14:30 (UTC +9) on Thursday, 14 September 2023.
