 Mobile Internet in China Mobile Internet is an emerging trend with tremendous business opportunities but technical challenges as well. As a mobile network and application carrier, China Mobile is committing itself to mobile Internet research and development. China Mobile thinks mobile Internet is the future of the mobile network and mobile services. Several innovative projects have been launched in the China Mobile Research Institute including OMS, WiiSE, DSN, and Mobile Widget IPv6 migration etc. This presentation gives a brief introduction of these efforts and tries to explore the future of the Mmobile Internet world. Ubiquitous Green Community Control Network In 2008, next generation Internet deployment has been listed as part of the Chinese national strategic plan. Government and industry hope it will build a new innovative ecosystem. China plays an important role in IPv6 and hopes to become a key contributer to the speed-up of deployment of next generation Internet around the world. IPv6 and next generation Internet will play a great role in traditional fields, and bring new customer experiences and energy saving efforts. Realizing energy saving and environment protection using IPv6 is the new trend of the next generation Internet. Combining IPv6 with environment protection and energy saving is not an extra cost; it is a good opportunity for many companies, which will bring high return on investment. UGCCNet, the Ubiquitous Green Community Control Network, seeks to realize energy conservation and an environment-friendly green society with the construction of a digital eco-city empowered by new IT technologies.
