Opening reception

APNIC members and friends are invited to attend the APNIC 22 opening reception at Golden Phoenix, Grand Hi-Lai Hotel. Enjoy a mix of Asian and western finger food and drinks in a five-star banquet venue. It's also a great opportunity to meet other APNIC 22 attendees in a warm and friendly environment.

Entertainment

A local Taiwanese Opera Troupe will perform Taiwanese traditional musical, providing a cultural highlight of the APNIC 22 opening reception. The Troupe will perform two popular stories. After the performance, guests are welcome to meet the performers and see some of the preparations that go on backstage. It's also a great opportunity to have your photo taken with one of these talented opera actors.

APNIC social event

• Venue: British Consulate, Harbour View Area

All APNIC members and friends are invited to attend the social event at the British Consulate, 15 minutes drive from Grand Hi-Lai Hotel. As well as good food and a Chinese orchestra, the venue provides unique views of the beautiful Kaohsiung harbour.

The British Consulate is Taiwan's oldest western style building. It was built in 1865 by a British trading company, and later was transferred to the British Government to be used as a consulate. The building is situated in an excellent position to view Kaohsiung, the city landscape, and its harbour.

The event is free for APNIC 22 attendees. To attend this event, select the "social event" option on the APNIC 22 registration form and receive your ticket when you collect your name badge at the onsite registration desk. You will need to show your ticket when boarding the bus to the venue.

Buses to the British Consulate will pick up attendees outside the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel at 19:00.

APNIC 22 informal closing dinner

• Venue: Restaurant "Szechuan Court", Ambassador Kaohsiung Hotel
• Cost: US$40

We appreciate how much you, the members and friends of APNIC, contribute to the success of APNIC meetings. We therefore invite you to delay your return to the office just a little longer and join the staff of the APNIC Secretariat at an informal dinner at the Ambassador Kaohsiung Hotel, situated along the Love River. After the dinner, you may stroll along the Love River and enjoy the "City of Lights".

This informal dinner is an ideal opportunity to network with APNIC staff, your peers, and technical specialists in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

How to collect your ticket

To attend this event, select the "APNIC informal closing dinner" option on the APNIC 22 registration form and receive your ticket when you collect your name badge at the onsite registration desk. You will need to show your ticket on Friday night as you enter the venue.

Getting to the venue

The Ambassador Kaohsiung Hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.

The dinner will be held at:

After the dinner, you can stroll back along the banks of the Love River.
