13th APNIC Open Policy Meeting

EC Election - 7 March 2002

The Election to fill three vacant positions on the Executive Council took place at the APNIC Annual Member Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. Nominees for this election included the following candidates:

• Che-Hoo Cheng
• H. S. Gupta
• Geoff Huston
• Akinori Maemura
• Indra Pramana
• Budi Rahardjo

Of these candidates, Mr Cheng, Mr Huston and Mr Maemura were sitting APNIC EC members whose terms were due to expire at this meeting, however they had been renominated and agreed to stand for election again. These 3 individuals were in addition the only candidates actually present during the meeting. The nomination for Mr Budi Rahardjo was withdrawn by the nominating organisation just prior to the election.

As a result of the election, the three sitting candidates were all re-elected to their positions.
