Biographical information: He got his bachelor degree on Information Management from Gunadarma University, Indonesia in 1996, and got his master degree on Information Technology from University of Indonesia, in 1999. Started his internet-related work at RADNET (PT Rahajasa Media Internet), one of the biggest ISPs in Indonesia as an HTML and CGI programmer, he jumped into managing and administering RADNET's network and system infrastructure as a Dedicated Network Operations Section Head in RADNET. At the same time, he also helped APJII (Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association) in managing the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) network. Since the year of 2000, he's working in Webvisions Pte Ltd, a leading hosting provider in Singapore. Currently he's the Assistant Vice President (AVP), NetworkServices of Webvisions, managing the company's network infrastructure, as well as supervising the technical services epartment, which consists of technical support staff, system administrator staff, network and security staff, as well as the customer service officer staff, with a staff strength of about 11 people. Motivation for nomination: Indra has been working in the ISP environment for almost 7 years. He has been interacting with APNIC in getting the necessary internet resources for his organisation, as well as attending some APNIC meetings in the past, so he is very much familiar with APNIC's policy and procedure. He was also very much involved in provisioning the APJII's Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) network when it was first setup, and now is in charge of Webvisions' network infrastructure. |
