Education/qualifications
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India — Graduated 2016.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in IP network architecture, design, and operations for large-scale service provider and enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in BGP traffic engineering, including AS-path prepending, BGP communities, local preference, and multi-homing strategies with full ISP diversity.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ASR 9000 series (IOS XR), EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, and high-availability data center interconnect solutions.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Internet number resource management issues, including IPv4 exhaustion, IPv6 deployment, resource transfers, and routing security (RPKI).
  • Proven ability to design and operate resilient, carrier-diverse networks that directly rely on fair and stable global address allocation policies.
Experience and involvement in APNIC activities

Over the past two years, I have actively engaged with the APNIC community to stay informed on Internet number resource policies and contribute where possible from an operational perspective.

Attended APNIC Conferences: APNIC 61 (February 2026, Indonesia). I attended in-person, with a strong focus on the Policy SIG (Open Policy Meetings) and discussions around IPv6 deployment, resource transfers, and routing security (RPKI).

Technical Webinars & Training: Completed several APNIC Academy webinars and training sessions on topics such as RPKI deployment, BGP security best practices, and IPv6 transition strategies.

Although I have not yet authored a formal policy proposal, my consistent participation has been driven by a desire to bridge the gap between policy development and day-to-day network operations. I believe this operator-focused viewpoint is valuable to the NRO Number Council, especially as the community navigates the final stages of IPv4 scarcity and accelerated IPv6 deployment.

I am now keen to increase my contribution by serving on the NRO NC, where I can bring this practical experience into global policy coordination.

Nominee statement

I am honored to stand as a candidate for the NRO Number Council (ASO Address Council) representing the APNIC region for the 2027–2029 term.

With more than 10 years of hands-on experience in large-scale IP network architecture and operations, I have worked extensively on multi-homed environments with full ISP diversity, advanced BGP traffic engineering, and modern data center fabrics using EVPN/VXLAN technologies. My daily work involves designing and managing resilient networks that depend directly on fair, stable, and forward-looking Internet number resource policies.

Reason for nomination

With over 10 years of experience in large-scale IP networking and internet infrastructure, I have developed a deep appreciation for the importance of stable, transparent, and community-driven global Internet number resource management. I am applying for this role because I strongly believe in the mission of the NRO NC — to ensure fair, efficient, and technically sound coordination of global IP address policy across the five RIRs.
