Arriving to Kyoto

Before Entering Japan

Arriving to Kyoto

There are several ways to travel to Kyoto.

From Tokyo (Narita or Haneda airports)

  • From Haneda International Airport → Keikyu Airport Line’s Rapid Limited Express train to Shinagawa train station → Transfer to Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto train station (approx. 2h40 mins)→ Subway or taxi from JR Kyoto station to your accommodation.
  • From Narita International Airport → Narita Express train to Shinagawa train station → Transfer to Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto train station (approx. 2h40 mins) → Subway or taxi from JR Kyoto station to your accommodation

From Osaka (Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka International Airport (Itami/ITM))

  • From Osaka (Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka International Airport (Itami/ITM)) → JR (Japan Rail) Haruka Airport Express (75 mins) → Subway from JR Kyoto station (20 mins) or taxi.
  • From Osaka International Airport (Itami/ITM) → JR (Japan Rail) Haruka Airport Express (50 mins) or by bus → Subway from JR Kyoto station (20 mins) or taxi.
