Biographical info: Aftab Siddiqui is associated with Cyber Internet Services (Pvt.) Ltd. He is currently looking after various Projects such as IPv6 deployment and Infrastructure Security and the regional network operations team. He serves as a core committee member of the IPv6 Task Force Pakistan and jointly works with many Public and Private sector universities for IPv6 awareness, workshops and practical deployment. He also serves as a Program Committee member at SANOG. He is an active participant in APNIC meetings and shares his views and suggestions during the Policy SIG and at the APNIC IPv6 plenary. He has been monitoring the IPv6 deployment status and its visibility over the Internet in Pakistan and sharing it with the community/academia along with how new policy development will impact the overall scenario in Pakistan.

Motivation for nomination: Aftab Siddiqui has been a member of the APNIC Community for a long time. He first attended the APNIC meeting in 2009, and since then has been to many more. He manages a team of Network Engineers in Network Operations at Cybernet, a major ISP in Pakistan. He's a rare breed, who despite the full time obligations has found time to serve as co-chair of the SANOG Program Committee and participate actively in APNIC Policy Development Process. He is knowledgeable in the regional and global policies currently in place for IP addresses and their impact in the region as he has been leading the IPv6 Task Force Pakistan. He also volunteers to raise IPv6 awareness in college and Universities in Pakistan. In between he has also presented at various regional network operators forums.

His long standing experience in Network operations, number resource policy as well as active participation in the APNIC policy process makes him a very suitable candidate for the NRO NC.
