Nominee statement
I feel deeply honoured to be nominated for the APNIC EC election. Having been actively engaged with the APNIC community since its early days, I have gained extensive experience through various roles within the community. Currently, I serve as the Chair of the APNIC Executive Council (EC) and have previously held the position of Policy SIG Chair. Additionally, I am one of the authors of IETF RFC3743, a critical milestone in the development of the global IDN framework.
I am deeply committed to collaborating with the community to advance the adoption and deployment of IPv6 and RPKI. In Taiwan, the IPv6 adoption ratio has grown significantly, from 0.5% in 2018 to an impressive 60.3% in 2024. Similarly, the RPKI RoA ratio (IPv4 valid prefix) has increased from 0% in 2018 to 94.2% in 2024. These achievements were made possible by the tireless efforts and dedication of many contributors within the community.
As I accept this nomination, I reaffirm my commitment to serving the community and ensuring that APNIC continues to be a role model among regional Internet registries. Together, we can uphold APNIC’s mission and drive meaningful progress in the Asia-Pacific region.
