APNIC EC Election
Four positions on the APNIC EC were up for election. The nominations (in the order they were received) were:

- Yoshinobu Matsuzaki
- Yuedong Zhang
- Gaurab Raj Upadhaya
- Justin Kaitapu
- Roopinder Singh Perhar - This nominee withdrew his candidacy on 27 February 2019
- Pankaj Chaturvedi
Congratulations to Gaurab Raj Upadhaya and Kenny Huang on their re-election to the APNIC EC, and to Yuedong Zhang and Yoshinobu Matsuzaki on their election to the EC for the first time. They will each serve a two-year term of office.
Many thanks go to outgoing EC Members, Izumi Okutani and Jessica Shen, for their service and dedication to the APNIC community.
Cooperation SIG
The Cooperation SIG is a forum for discussion about broader Internet issues such as public policy and Internet governance with a focus on information sharing, outreach, capacity building, and other activities that will advance APNIC’s vision for a global, open, stable, and secure Internet. The theme of this SIG was: Internet Content Blocking and Filtering — Challenges and Way Forward.

NIR SIG
The NIR SIG shares information relating to the operations, policies, and procedures of National Internet Registries (NIRs) with the aim of promoting close cooperation among the NIRs and with the APNIC Secretariat.

Billy Cheon was elected as Chair of the NIR SIG and will serve a two-year term. APNIC thanks Co-Chair, Zhen Yu, for assuming the role of Acting Chair before this election.
Policy SIG
The APNIC Policy SIG is an open forum to develop policies and procedures that relate to the management and use of Internet address resources by APNIC, NIRs and ISPs within the Asia Pacific region.
The following policy proposals were discussed at the APNIC 47 Policy SIG.
Reached consensus in the Policy SIG and AGM:- prop-129: Abolish waiting list for unmet IPv4 requests
- prop-128: Multihoming not required for ASN
- prop-127: Change maximum delegation size of 103/8 IPv4 address pool to a /23
Proposal abandoned:
- prop-118: No need policy in APNIC region
- Modification of transfer policies (Jordi Palet)
- Unadvertised addresses (Geoff Huston)
