Biographical detail I am a researcher at NTT since 1991. I have been conducting research on IPv6 since 1997 at NTT Laboratories and my current research subject is next generation Internet architecture. I have also been involved in promotion of IPv6 deployment in Japan as the Chair of the IPv6 deployment committee in Internet Association Japan, a Co-chair ofIPv4/IPv6 co-existence WG in IPv6 promotion council in Japan, as well as supporting implementation of IPv6 services in my company.

In addition to IPv6 related activities, I have also been involved in policy development and coordination activities and have served for the Internet community. I have been leading policy discussions in Japan as the Chair of Japan Open Policy Forum from 2005 until 2012. I have proposed several address policies in APNIC Conferences, which has been adopted in the APNIC region, including Inter-RIR transfer policy.

I am currently serving as the Vice Chair of the ISOC Japan Chapter, which was re-established last year, and organizing Internet events in Japan.

In the APNIC forum, I have served as a Co-Chair of IPv6 technical SIG, and APINC conference program committee member until 2010. I have been an appointed member of NRO/NC in APNIC since 2009, and a elected member since 2012.

Motivation for nomination After 2 years term of NRO/NC, I feel as a member of the Internet Community, participating in the world-wide policy development become so important and I would like to continue to serve for the APNIC community, as well as for the global Internet Community as a member of NRO/NC.
