APNIC supports the creation of BTNOG

Published on:Tuesday,18 February 2014

Following the success of SANOG 23 in Bhutan, a BTNOG was established for network operators in Bhutan. This was created off the initiative by major operators in Bhutan, and APNIC is proud to lend its support to all NOGs in the Asia Pacific region. The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, was in attendance and lent his support the creation of BTNOG as an integral part of Internet development in Bhutan.

A new web home, nog.BT, and a mailing list, are now available for local operators in Bhutan to network and share their experiences. All network operators in Bhutan are encouraged to join the conversation! The first meeting will take place in October or November this year. Check the site regularly for updates.
