Online voting and proxy appointment for the APNIC Executive Council (EC) election opens today, Friday, 11 February 2011. The online/proxy voting period closes on Wednesday, 23 February 2011 at 09:00 (UTC +8).

The EC members whose positions are up for re-election are:

• Hyun-Joon Kwon
• James Spenceley
• Jian Zhang
• Kuo-Wei Wu
  (The position held and vacated by Kuo-Wei Wu, who was elected to the Board of ICANN, will also be up for election.)

Each current APNIC Member organization is able to exercise a number of votes according to its Membership tier. The APNIC Corporate Contact for each current Member account has control over the organization's votes and is able to vote themselves, assign voting rights to another person in their organization, or appoint a proxy to vote on the organization's behalf.
