Support the Pakistan flood relief
APNIC encourages community members in the Asia Pacific region to support the flood relief efforts in Pakistan.
Our colleagues in Pakistan need assistance for the flood relief in Northern Pakistan. Over 12 million people have been directly affected by this flood. There is widespread damage, and the death toll rises daily. These communities are cut off from fresh water, food, electricity, and communications infrastructure.
APNIC encourages community members in the Asia Pacific region to support the flood relief efforts in Pakistan. If you are able to help, please send donations to one of the following organizations:
UM Healthcare Trust
UNICEF
Red Cross and Red Crescent
Oxfam
World Vision
UM Healthcare Trust provides subsidized and affordable healthcare and tele-health services to rural Pakistan. As a 2009 ISIF Grantee, UM Healthcare Trust has been at the forefront of this recent disaster in Northern Pakistan. A regular update of their activities can be found on their website and blog, Jaroka Telehealth.
