APNIC joins Pacific Leaders in Fiji for PITA 13th AGM
APNIC will be participating the in the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA) 13th Annual General Meeting in Nadi, Fiji to further our APNIC Member and Stakeholder Survey objective to represent the Asia Pacific Internet community at all relevant regional events.
APNIC will be participating the in the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA) 13th Annual General Meeting in Nadi, Fiji to further our APNIC Member and Stakeholder Survey objective to represent the Asia Pacific Internet community at all relevant regional events.
Collaborative relationships between APNIC and regional organizations are extremely important to facilitate the flow of information and resources throughout the regional networking community.
APNIC will be conducting training, delivering presentations, and has contributed as a sponsor of the PITA event.
APNIC activities at the event are as follows:
- Cecil Goldstein, APNIC's Training Manager, will be running a workshop on IPv6 tunnelling.
- Sanjaya, APNIC Services Area Manager, will deliver the presentations: Expanding the Internet: IPv4 Address Exhaustion and IPv6 Transition, and IP Address and ASN Certification to Improve Routing Security.
- Sunny Chendi, APNIC External Relations Manager will deliver a presentation: Challenges Facing Network Operators in the Pacific.
- APNIC will also be hosting a seminar titled Be Part of the APNIC Policy Process to encourage participation in the APNIC Policy Development Process and for the attendees to discuss the important policy developments in the region.
