I have been active in the Internet community (APNIC, ICANN and IETF) for more than a decade. My experiences with APNIC, ICANN and IETF make me an especially good candidate to be a member of Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC). I have been the NRO NC member since 2022. In my terms as NRO NC member, I also serve as the APNIC representative to the NRO NC PPFT (Policy Proposal Facilitator Team).
I have been working on the RPKI and routing security since I was a graduate student. I am the co-author of RFC 8211 (RPKI Threat Model), RFC 8416 (Local Management of Number Resource with RPKI), and RFC 8897 (RPKI Relying Party Requirements). And I was an invited reviewer of ICANN OCTO-014 report on RPKI Technical Analysis. As the RPKI is being deployed globally, my expertise will benefit the NRO NC in discussions of number policies, especially with respect to the RPKI.
I have engaged closely with APNIC community for many years. I was the co-founder of APNIC Routing Security SIG and then served as co-chair and acting chair of this SIG. I have been selected as APNIC Fellowship Program Mentor several times since 2021. My experience and standing in this community will also enhance my role as NRO NC member.
I am active in ICANN community. I have been the member of ICANN RSSAC Caucus since February 2015. I was the member of ICANN CGP of Root Zone LGR Project and awarded an ICANN Certificate of Achievement for this job. My experience and contact with ICANN community also make me a good candidate for the NRO NC member, given the Council’s role as ICANN ASO AC.
