Additionally, NIXI has been instrumental in representing India’s stance at global forum(s), including but not limited to the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), Asia-Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) etcetera as designated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Additionally, I am also facilitating IPv6 migration contributing to the APNIC four-year strategic plan, aligning with the certain responsibilities NRO is performing. I am also coordinating and managing the high-level engagement for the ICANN ccNSO sessions pertaining as a part of the ccNSO Internet Governance Liaison Committee and ccNSO Meetings Programme Committee (MPC), including the ccNSO Members Meeting agenda at ICANN public meetings, and related matters.
Lastly, with the interest in employing technology for social good, further given India’s prominent position as an emerging global leader especially in the APAC region, home to the world’s largest population, and boasting a highly competitive pool of human resources, it becomes imperative to ensure that regional perspectives are effectively represented in global policy discussions. In this endeavour, I firmly believe that my skill sets, coupled with an understanding of the complex issues, will prove to be a valuable asset for the NRO NC in driving its mission and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to ensure that the Internet remains open, stable and secure.
