Nominee statement
I am currently serving as the Policy SIG Chair at APNIC and have attended every APRICOT and APNIC meeting since APNIC 31 (2011). It is an honor to be nominated for the APNIC Executive Council (EC) election, and I have accepted the nomination, seeking support from the community.
In my role as a senior sysadmin at an ISP in New Caledonia for over 25 years, I have been a strong advocate for IPv6 adoption. Today, we are the only ISP in the country providing IPv6 connectivity to our FTTH subscribers. I am also the founder of GULNC (Linux User Group) and NCNOG, where I work in my spare time to promote the adoption of new standards and best practices for a safer and more efficient internet.
I am proud to have contributed to making APNIC 46 a reality in New Caledonia. With my experience, knowledge, and a unique perspective from the Pacific Islands, I am committed to helping APNIC continue its development as an EC Member.

Reason for nomination
Bertrand has been an active member of the APNIC community for 14 years, contributing in various capacities. He began by participating in the Policy SIG as an attendee and was later elected as the Policy SIG Co-Chair at APNIC 43 in 2017. Since APNIC 52 in 2021, he has served as the Chair of the Policy SIG. Bertrand's extensive experience within the APNIC community, his unique knowledge of APNIC policy, his impartiality, and his deep understanding of grassroots members' operations make him an excellent candidate for a position on APNIC's Executive Council.
