Starting from APRICOT 2000, APRICOT has been providing financial support to selected individuals from the Asia Pacific region to attend APRICOT. This long running programme has given opportunities to Internet network engineers and operators from the less privileged parts of the Asia Pacific region to participate in the region's premier Internet Operations and Technology summit. This human networking has been an extremely important component for growing the Internet across the region, with the APRICOT Fellows gaining valuable opportunities to meet Internet network professionals from all around the world.

Starting with APRICOT 2024, the APNOG Board has relaunched the Fellowship Programme to focus on enhancing the technology knowledge and the skills of leading technical Internet professionals across the region. This revised programme is more exclusive and is designed to help the newer generation of technical leaders enhance their abilities and skill sets, learning from international industry leaders.

The Fellowship award will cover both the APRICOT 2024 Advanced Technical Training days and the APRICOT 2024 Conference week. The award is open to anyone who meets the criteria described below. Selected Fellows will have an opportunity to network with colleagues in the industry, learn first-hand about APRICOT and its related activities, then return home with new insights to aid them in their professional development.

Applications are welcome from across the region, including from prior APRICOT fellows, as this is a brand-new advanced programme. APRICOT’s fellowship review process operates according to stringent criteria and is evaluated by esteemed individuals within our community who make their determinations solely on merit. Each application is diligently assessed without any bias or prejudice, reflecting our commitment to a fair and thorough evaluation process.

The Fellowship Award which is granted to successful applicants (Fellows) covers registration fees for the APRICOT 2024 Advanced Technical Training and Conference, as well as bed & breakfast accommodation, and provides a contribution towards the cost of the travel and living expenses associated with attending APRICOT.
