Experience and involvement in APNIC activities

With the support of the community, I am the current elected NRO NC from the APNIC region. During this period, I have been actively involved in the proceedings of ASO AC. I have been involved in the policy and procedural deliberations. I have actively participated in the assigned responsibility to ASO AC as APNIC representative.

While managing NIR operations at NIXI, I closely work with APNIC and the community to understand the Policy development process, its implementation and impact on the end users. I am regular participant at APNIC meetings and presented at APIX, NIR SIG.

In my full-time role as General Manager with National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), working and contributing in the following business units:

  • IRINN – in addition to the laid objective of Internet resource delegation, taken multiple initiatives to popularize the adoption of IPv6 and RPKI in the country along with the regular capacity development.
  • ccTLD Registry - .IN & .Bharat – current DUM is 3.0Mn and growing. Working on multilingual internet and Universal Acceptance adoption.
  • Internet Exchange – expanding the footprint in tier 2 and tier 3 cities across the country helping the regional Internet ecosystem.

I am also actively involved in NIXI’s integral role in the Internet Governance through events like India IGF, INNOG,SANOG, inSIG etc.

Nominee statement

Being an NRO NC has been a rich learning experience. It’s been an honour representing the diversified APNIC community. During this period, I have actively contributed to the tasks, procedures, selection, and volunteered to the committees and working groups.

I seek guidance and support of the community for another term as NRO NC. I stand committed to contribute to the issues and will support the operation and communication within our community as per the defined procedures.
