While APNIC works towards its vision of for a global, open, stable, and secure Internet. governments and other organizations take decisions which impact the future of Internet which has been at the heart of digital transformation. Herein community needs to share their opinions and point of views by engaging in discussion and conversations with different stakeholder communities allowing for effective collaboration and cooperation.
APNIC is at inflection points of the changing networking profession requiring specific capacity development efforts and global society transformation requiring extensive outreach and better connect with members from different stakeholder communities. The cooperation SIG in APNIC has a higher role to play and if elected as the Chair, I would focus on strengthening the Cooperation SIG as forum for discussing the issues of relevance to APNIC community with different stakeholders’ community and providing specific inputs to APNIC secretariat on their outreach efforts.
