NRO NUMBER COUNCIL (NC) ELECTIONS 2020 - VOTING

Results

Congratulations to Shubham Saran on his election to the NRO NC. He will serve a two-year term of office, starting on 1 January 2021 and ending on 31 December 2022.

The election results are available to view. Please note that the time stamp in the Poll Result refers to Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC +10) which is the time in Brisbane, Australia.

Voting eligibility

Voters in the NRO Number Council (NC) election can be broadly divided into two categories:

1. APNIC Member voting

APNIC Members can vote online in the NRO NC elections using their APNIC Login. Each Member organization is entitled to cast one vote using the BigPulse voting system. Only Corporate Contacts or Contacts with voting rights may vote.

Online voting for Members opens on Monday, 24 August 2020 and closes at 13:30 (UTC +8) on Thursday, 10 September 2020.

2. Conference attendee voting

To take part in the NRO NC online voting, an individual must meet the following two criteria to vote:

  1. Registered for the current conference (APNIC 50) with the registration form submitted before the start of the current conference.

    Deadline is 11:00 (UTC +8), Tuesday, 8 September 2020.

  2. Registered and attended at least one of the past eight APRICOT or APNIC standalone conferences (not including the current conference):

    • APNIC 49 with APRICOT 2020 in Melbourne, Australia
    • APNIC 48 in Chiang Mai, Thailand
    • APNIC 47 with APRICOT 2019 in Daejeon, South Korea
    • APNIC 46 in Noumea, New Caledonia
    • APNIC 45 with APRICOT 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal
    • APNIC 44 in Taichung, Taiwan
    • APNIC 43 with APRICOT 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam
    • APNIC 42 in Colombo, Sri Lanka

    Eligible registered attendees can vote online in the NRO NC elections using their APNIC Login. They are entitled to one vote using the BigPulse voting system. Verification of an individual's entitlement to vote against official records will be used where necessary.

    We strongly encourage the individuals who intend to vote in the NC election to contact Helpdesk to check their voting eligibility to ensure they have attended one of the past conferences listed above.

    Online voting for eligible registered attendees opens at the start of the Policy SIG session on Thursday, 10 September 2020 at 11:00 (UTC +8) and closes at 13:30 (UTC +8) on Thursday, 10 September 2020.
