Policy SIG

Co-Chair Election results

Congratulations to Masato Yamanishi for his successful appointment for a two-year term as Policy SIG Co-Chair. Thanks also to those nominees who expressed a willingness to serve the community in this role.

Three policy proposals were discussed. The following proposals reached consensus and will progress to the 8-week comment period:

  • prop-104: Clarifying demonstrated needs requirement in IPv4 transfer policy
  • prop-101: Removing multihoming requirement for IPv6 portable assignments

The following proposal was withdrawn by the author:

  • Adjust Critical Infrastructure definition to include Internet PKI
  • Address Reallocation among RIRs
  • prop-097: Informational: Discussions in Japan about delegations of IPv4 address space in APNIC Free pool
